GAZELLE TRANSPORTATION of Bakersfield has been honored for its safety record with the California Trucking Association's Fleet safety award for first place in the tanker hazardous materials division.

The award was presented June 12 in Sacramento at the CTA annual awards banquet.

"Gazelle has put safety first since we started the company in 1992 We're proud to have the best safety record of any California company in our category." said Ron Lallo general manager and safety coordinator.

"We're very proud of the Gazelle drivers. They're tops in their field and their ongoing safety record is proof. We're very lucky to have such an excellent team." said Gazelle CEO Jerry Eller.

Gazelle Transportation transports hazardous materials and petroleum products throughout California. In its four years of existence, the company has not experienced an on-the-job injury.
